lighten eyes 

• select colored portion of eyes
• promote selection to a layer
• set blend mode to screen
• duplicate promoted layer to increase effect
• merge layers

change colors

• create a new empty layer
• airbrush color over the eye on new layer
• set blend mode to overlay
